Happy Holidays!

Wishing you a healthy, prosperous and more serene New Year . . .

May we continue to share many wonderful books in 2021 and beyond.

This very particular year is coming to a close, while times continue to be challenging in many parts of the world.

In line with last month’s Thanksgiving celebrations in the US, I would like to focus on gratitude.

Besides last month’s US election results, here’s what I am grateful for:

At the beginning of this month, 2 Seas Agency welcomed two new team members: Donatella, who will support our efforts on the Italian market and our new intern Katie.

Just before the Christmas break, Chrys went on maternity leave as she is expecting her first child ❤️

We recently organized a pre-Holiday get-together, which was a lot of fun. Our topics of conversations ranged from angels in Smart cars, Saints and female Popes, Snoopy-universes, ballerinas and librarians . . .

I started Season 2 last month and we now have close to 6,000 plays! It’s been an amazing journey and I’ve learned so much. Recording these podcast episodes has turned out to be the second best thing to meeting people at international book fairs.

  • Last but not least, I’m grateful for our clients, acquiring editors, co-agents, scouts, translators, readers, and everyone else who works in this beautiful and crazy business called the publishing industry.

I couldn’t imagine doing anything else but what I’m doing with 2 Seas Agency: making books travel. This is in large part thanks to the relationships I’ve created over the years. Book people are a special kind of people, and I can’t wait to see everyone again in person in 2021!
